Authorities announced today that they have caught a Southern California millionaire who had been on the run for four years after murdering his wife in 2012. Spokesperson for the US Marshall, Lynzey Donahue, announced that Peter Chadwick had been arrested and turned over to US authorities, although no further details of his arrest were made many signs point to him being captured in Mexico.

Peter Chadwick, originally from the United Kingdom and became a naturalized citizen in 2001,  was a Newport Beach real estate investor. After his story about a handyman murdering his wife and kidnapping him came raveling apart at the seams, was charged with murdering his wife in 2012 after finding her body in a San Diego trash bin. 

He was released on $1 million bail, however, he skipped his court appearance in 2015, which ultimately lead the US Marshall to add him to the top 15 most wanted list. Authorities found out that after he posted bail, Chadwick proceeded to empty millions of dollars from his bank account, they also found books about changing one’s identity while searching his home.
